Hyam Amongst Youngsters Set to Face Northampton Tue 26th Oct 2010 08:50
Midfielder Luke Hyam looks set to be one of a number of young players coming into Roy Keane’s squad for this evening’s Carling Cup fourth round tie against Northampton at Portman Road (KO 7.45pm). The Blues are without cup-tied duo Jake Livermore and Jack Colback, while an unnamed player is a doubt with an injury suffered in training on Sunday.

Boss Roy Keane is waiting on the fitness of Hungarian international keeper Márton Fülöp ahead of Saturday’s trip to his old club Nottingham Forest. Fülöp has a back injury and missed the Watford game in midweek, but Keane says he has no problem if Brian Murphy is again required between the sticks.

Jason Scotland scored his fourth goal for the Blues since his move from Wigan but it wasn’t enough to prevent Town from falling to a 2-1 home defeat to Coventry City. The visitors, previously without a win at Portman Road since 1994, were ahead through Clive Platt at half-time and went further in front via a Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty before Scotland pulled one back for the Blues, who pressed for an equaliser without success.

Police are reviewing video footage of an incident involving around 40 Leeds supporters 15 minutes after Saturday’s game at Portman Road. Officers were forced to use dogs to control the group which was trying to force its way from the Leeds coaches in the Cattle Market car park back on to Portman Road.
